In order to get their Student visa granted, the international students have need to prove that they have genuine access to sufficient funds. Applicants have required to demonstrate the sufficient funds to cover these expenses during their studies in Australia for one or two years.
This will help ensure that students can pay the amount for most of their studies and can get a safe and enjoyable experience in Australia. Funds should be sufficient to contribute to the cost of travel, tuition, school costs of any dependents, and living costs.
At the previous time India was in AL level 3. But now, according the new assessment level country list; released on 30 Sep 2017, India is listed under the AL 2 Countries so now it is not necessary for Indian students to show funds to embassy when they are applying for the level 1 or level 2 colleges and universities, only your colleges/universities will check it. (But the embassy might ask it).
According to DIBP it is important to lodge the Student Visa Application before 6 weeks from the course commencement date.
